Polymer Clay Millefiori Flower Cane Tutorial – Double Petal Kanzashi
Discover new ways to create breath-taking, 3D polymer clay flower millefiori canes!
Millefiori flower canning is considered as the most frequently chosen technique in polymer clay craft world.
The canes appeal, attractive styles together with pleasing shades & colors, have that “WOW” factor.
You will find infinite flower styles and many techniques to create flowers; But for me, polymer clay is the best material for creating millefiori canes flower designs.
In this guide we will create beautiful, imaginary petal designs, that are very easy to understand and to complete.
The class is a little bit in an ocean of ideas;
Explore structures, styles & options and prepare your ultimate set of flower canes in all kinds of designs.
Tsumami Kanzashi are traditional Japanese folded flowers, made from small squares of silk, that are typically worn by women as hair ornaments in traditional hairstyles.
The double petal Kanzashi flower cane is imitating the fabric flower only created in polymer clay millefiori canning.
We will create the double petal Kanzashi flower millefiori cane with a gorgeous skinner blended petal and learn both how to assemble the cane parts and how to wrap the flower into a perfect round cane, making sure the petals are highlighted correctly inside the design.
All petals will be placed around a center cane (in this case a simple pre-made lace cane).

…” Iris! I can’t tell you how excited I am with my new purchase!
Up until these 2 tutorials came up I was making flower canes but wished I could really see HOW YOU do it in real. Since I live so far from you I can’t do that, BUT! the videos made me feel as if I was sitting next to you in a private class! THANK you so much for making this class, everything looks much clearer!
Now I can become an ELITE caner!

Bette Abdu –
Hello Iris,
Just wanted to let you know that my gift arrived yesterday to my home in New Hampshire, USA. Wow I didn’t expect it so soon nor did I expect more than a couple of baked samples. Thank you so much for the uncured canes – it will be fun to play with them.
The tutorials I’ve watched so far are very well done. Hope to find some ‘me’ time soon to really delve into them and get to my clay table.
Best wishes for a joyous holiday season,
Bette Abdu
Heidi Wyrick –
Thank you so very much for sending me the info on the new tutorial!!! I have enjoyed every single tut that I have purchased from you!!! Unlike many others that I have purchased, yours have always been easy to understand with clear photos and instructions. I have only been working with polymer clay since Oct. of last year and your tutorials have helped my skill level improve greatly. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge with me!!
Sincerely,
Heidi Wyrick
