Polymer Clay Retreat Greece October 2015 – Iris Mishly Workshops

I am happy to offer 2 half days classes in the polymer clay retreat “Meraki in Mani”, taking place in Stoupa, Greece, organized by Ms. Lee O’Connor.

A five day Polymer Clay retreat in Stoupa, Greece will take place on October 5-9, 2015.
The aim of this retreat is working together doing what we all love, sharing knowledge, techniques and inspiration and having some new material and tools to try out as well as having time off to explore and enjoy the area.

The retreat will be held at Hotel Kastro, Beach Road, Stoupa, Messenia 24024 GREECE. The Kastro hotel is right on the beach, few steps from the shore-line.

My best seller tutorial feature endless ways to mimic ceramic designs in polymer clay.

In our workshop we will create 2 projects –
• A breathtaking faux ceramic wall decoration
• A miniature “funky bag” design that will be perfect to hold you tea bags, sugar packs or business cards!

We will discuss 2 techniques to mimic faux ceramic using chalks, gilders’ paste and stencils.

The Brocade collection purse is an innovative product, which was created from a fashion designer inspiration & perspective. Mixing materials, combining techniques, seeking for intriguing hollow shapes, textures and patterns are the main goals of this class.

In the class the students will learn how to –
• Create a stylish mix media product that can be transformed into unlimited designs.
• Use simple tools and materials to create a unique design.
• Learn a clever-easy technique to imitate a rich brocade fabric.
• Combine between soft materials (fabric, zipper) and stiff materials (polymer clay) to create a perfect match.
• Discuss additional techniques for surface patterns.

The “Brocade Collection” purses were featured on winter 2011 “The Polymer Arts” cover magazine, taught in FIMO symposium 2012 Germany and in other international events as well as presented at STAEDTLER FIMO “Creative World 2012” trade show in Frankfurt, Germany.

1. Minimum # of participants’ requirement:
Workshops will take place with a minimum of 20 students enrolment by 31 July 2015.
If less than 20 students are enrolled by that time, your payment will be refunded (deducting PayPals’ fees: ~4%).

2. Workshop costs include teaching fee only (no materials included).
The full list of the required tools & materials for the workshops will be sent after registration so you could stock up ahead of time.

3.Workshops cost does not include airfares nor accommodation.
You will need to book them separately.
